All proceeds from One Love go to Off the Mat, Into the World’s Global Seva Challenge.

Off The Mat, Into the World (OTM) is an organization that was founded in 2007 by a team of three conscious activists: Seane Corn, Hala Kouri, and Suzanne Sterling. With the support and oversight of the parent non-profit The Engage Network, OTM’s mission is to “use the power of yoga to inspire conscious, sustainable activism and ignite grassroots social change.”

To this end, they have developed leadership trainings, yoga in action groups, The Empowered Youth Initiative, and The Global Seva Challenge. The Global Seva Challenge challenges yogis/yoginis to build consciousness and community by working to each raise at least $20,000. By engaging their own communities to raise the necessary funds, each participant furthers the mission of grassroots change, encouraging activism and furthering the cause.

At the end of the year, each challenger who raises the $20,000 is able to participate in the Bare Witness Tour where they are able to see their fundraising at work. During this tour, they work with the recipient Non-Governmental Organizations in the target country.

The focus of the 2012 Global Seva Challenge is India. OTM will partner with organizations that not only rescue victims of sex trafficking but are actively working to rehabilitate and provide a healing process for survivors.
In addition, OTM will support organizations that are raising awareness and creating economic opportunities and empowerment for survivors.
