From an early age I have been exploring the connection between mind and body through dance. In 2000, when I ventured into my first yoga class, it became very clear how vastly rich the practice of yoga is in its ability to integrate the body, mind, and spirit. Ever since I have been sharing yoga with as many people as I can.
I hold certifications through YogaFit and SCW Education and has trained with such renowned yogis as Seane Corn, Roger Cole, Dean Lerner, Beryl Bender Birch, Rod Stryker, Baron Baptiste, Dave Romanelli, Desiree Rumbaugh, Doug Swenson, Simon Park, Erich Schiffman, Susi Hately Aldous, Judith Lasater, Leslie Kaminoff, Loren Fishman, Mukunda Stiles, Joseph LePage, Richard Miller, Amy Weintraub, Jonny Kest, Gary Kraftsow, Nicki Doane and Eddie Modestini, Sharon Gannon and David Life, Steve Ross, Rusty Wells, Lilias Folan, Daphne and Tom Larkin, Wade Morissette, Manorama, Dharma Mittra, Shiva Rea, Bryan Kest, Doug Keller, Brock and Krista Cahill, deAnna Anderson and many others.
In January, 2006, I completed a 200-hour Yoga Alliance certification and in January 2008, after completing over 1000 teaching hours, I received the distinguished E-RYT (Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher) credential. In 2007, I became certified to teach Adaptive Yoga to students with MS through Karen O’ Donnell Clarke’s program. I received my 500 hr RYT through Divine School of Yoga Therapy and is a member of the International Association of Yoga Therapists.
I am an avid student of yoga and has developed an eclectic mix of yoga methods from numerous teachers. My compassionate, yet disciplined, teaching style is therapeutic and challenging as I emphasize a cultivation of awareness within each pose I instruct.
You’ll find me inspiring with my playful spirit and wacky sense of humor, yet patient as I take time out to personally guide you on your yoga journey. I graduated from Baylor University with a BBA degree in Marketing and International Business with a minor in Spanish.
